2026 Eisteddfod Teams

Our Teams had outstanding results at competitions in 2025! Congratulations to all the dancers on your incredible achievements and growth in just one year - we are so incredibly proud of you.

Joining our TEAMS is a fantastic way to get on stage more, and integrate into the local dance community. Our Teams compete at a number of events throughout the year and are supported to excel with challenging and age appropriate routines.

To be a part of the Radiance Team, we do have a few pre-requisites.

Dancers in 6yrs Teams must at least do BALLET.

Dancers in all other Teams must enrol in and regularly attend at least TWO of the following class styles: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial, Acrobatics and/or College.

Aerial, Irish, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and Tap are amazing, but do not provide the technical foundations required to compete in Teams. Pointe and Pre-Pointe cannot be used as a second style to ballet.

Please refer to the Teams Section in our Studio Policies below for more information on our Teams Opportunities, Requirements and Expectations.

Teams will have a range of routine styles, and while all dancers will learn all the routines, Miss Mia will determine which dancers will compete in each routine to ensure that the dancers feel confident in their abilities.

The number and styles of routines will vary slightly each year depending on the dancers within the age group at the time and the artistic direction of the teachers.

Some styles are quite specific (eg. Ballet and Tap) and dancers in these styles must take classes in this style to perform in these routines.

Styles such as lyrical, contemporary, jazz and hip hop are more inclusive and do not have strict class style requirements.

What age groups will I compete in?

Dancers who join the Radiance Team will compete in their normal age group AND attend the age group above as well.

This extra chance to dance is amazing to advance their training, learn more routines, get more value for their Teams experience, and get more time on stage.

By joining the age group above, the dancers have the opportunity to start learning parts of the routines so that when they are at the top of their next age group, they are ready to lead the team and the age group coming up below them! It is an amazing way to see all the dancers represented as one united Team and develop a sense of achievement as they work up the ranks of the age groups!

COMPETITION RULES:

eg. If you are 10 years old on 1st Jan 2025, even if you have turned 11 by the time you actually compete, your 'Eisteddfod age' is 10, and may compete in the 10 years and under teams. You can also compete 'up' an age group.
