The Inaugural Annual Dance Affair

You’re invited to the ultimate night at the Dance Hall!

Part theatre performance, part invitation to get up and dance, this is an all ages event that immerses everyone in an evening of old time and new time dance floor magic.

Created with and for the local community, The Inaugural Annual Dance Affair is a celebration of Toowoomba’s dance culture and local history, featuring a cracking live band lead by local multi award-winning musician Sue Ray, a charming emcee and heart-warming real stories from local community legends.

Light footed guest stars from local dance groups will keep you on your toes (literally!) including; the incredibly graceful competition ballroom couples from Dance Connection, Boot scootin babes from Toowoomba Line Dancing, Rich Virsa Bhangra, an internet breaking display of the future of dance from Mayhem Dance and Radiance Dance Academy, Highland Dancing and a lively representation from Toowoomba’s social hot spot – the Toowoomba Senior Citizens Centre.

By the end of the night your dance card will be full, and you’ll be armed with the ultimate tool kit of essential dancing moves. There will be prizes, supper and of course, a meat tray, plus a Belle of the Ball award so get out your best threads and get ready to shine!

No dance experience necessary, this is a great night out for everyone.

Costumes will be handed out in the coming weeks. It is your responsibility to keep it safe and bring it to the event.

Hair will be set by your teacher. This will discussed in class and/or communicated to parents via email.
