Dance School News
Hello lovely dance families. We are excited to connect with you all at the start of a brand new year. I know that after a few quick hurdles to navigate, 2022 is going to be an incredible year for our families. We have a lot of information for you and we can't wait to get this party started.
Revised return to dance date for term 1
We have an action packed year ahead with 42 weeks of dancing booked for you and your dancers. However, we have made the decision to delay the start of dance and line up with the Qld State School term. We are an Ausdance Endorsed Safe Dance Studio and have taken advice from Ausdance and other governing bodies to delay our return slightly. We know that everyone will have mixed feelings about this. However, the alternative dates we have come up with will actually be better for us this year. Here are a few of our reasons why this will work better: our concert is later this year, we will actually end up with just as much dancing (as you will see by my attached schedule), we will have less absenteeism for students and teachers, we are showing care and consideration for our community (regardless of your political standpoint this is a kind approach), and it will give uniformity and streamline for back to school for parents.
The overseas data is quite strongly suggesting that this momentary set back will be of a very short duration. Therefore, we are confident in our plan and are excited for a HUGE year of dancing.
At this time of the year, generally we host our popular "Come and Try Week". This year we are going to change slightly, we are going to meet new students on site, show them the studio, introduce them to the teaching staff, give them a gift pack and book their trial for Term 1. If you know of a friend or family member that is keen to join us this year, please let them know the times below.
Tuesday 18 January 9:00 - 11:00am
Thursday 20 January 9:00 - 11:00am
