Dance School News

We are so excited to be back into the full swing of term 2.

What a full and fun term it is going to be.

Family Fun Night

Fancy a night of free entertainment and hanging with the dance crew?  Why not bring the kids out to see some dancing and a free movie?  Meet someone you don't know and inspire the kids with some interesting dance items!

Kingaroy Eisteddfod

Some of our students headed out to Kingaroy over the last week to compete.  From our 9 items that we entered ,we placed in 7 of them.  The students should all be very proud of their achievements - despite the rural setting the competition was fierce.

New Staff Member

We are so excited to introduce one of our brand new staff members to you.  Miss Micaela is one of our own students who is stepping into the other side of studio life.  She will be involved with ballet classes, reception, dancewear fittings and much more.  Please make her welcome!

Micaela began dancing when she was 4 years old. She started with Jazz but not long after fell in love with Ballet.  She gave dancing a break to finish her Bachelor of Design

but soon after found herself back in the dance world. Micaela has experienced

many different styles and exam syllabi such as Royal Academy of Dance,

Borovansky, Cecchetti, CSTD and now Australian Teachers of Dance where she will

be completing her Intermediate exams. Being exposed to these different styles

has helped to evolve her classical technique. Classical ballet and contemporary

have always been favourites, however Micaela has always had a love for Jazz.

Micaela has danced and taught with many dance studios in the Scenic Rim where

she grew up. With experience in teaching students from ages 1 to 12 years

Micaela hopes to pass on her love of dance and inspire the students at

    Hi Sally,

I've probably missed this year's, however I'd be interested in entering Phoenix in Eisteddfods if that's a possibility please? I realise she is only little, however my sister and I both participated in solo eisteddfods from age of 4 and we loved it.
Phoenix seems to have a great retention ability and I think we would both enjoy this opportunity together.

    Thank you for the consideration,
